Free family tugboat tours will look at the workings of The Port of New York/New Jersey as a commercial hub that delivers things very close to us, like: fuel, clothes and food. Participants will also discover the natural resources and wildlife of the harbor.

FREE BARGE TOURS:
Visit the Waterfront Museum’s 1914 covered, wooden railroad barge and step into another era. Hear first-hand the rescue story of a one-of-a-kind vessel by a clown and juggler and discover and how food and commercial goods were transported prior to today’s bridges and tunnels. See “SHOWBOAT – ‘Round the Bend”, an exhibition co-produced with The Theatre Museum which tells the history of the showboat as an indigenous and popular form of American entertainment.
