Join The North River Historic Ship Society in honoring Joan K. Davidson, Chair of the 2009 Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commission, with special guests Arjan Braamskamp, Netherlands Consulate General in New York Connie Fishman, President of Hudson River Park Trust A.J. Pietrantone, President of Friends of Hudson River Park to celebrate the legacy journey of the Tug & Barge Tour 2009.
A $50 minimum contribution is requested for this waterfront event to help raise funds to help two New York Harbor maritime icons make the trip upriver this summer for the 2009 Quadricentennial. Their trip will celebrate the living legacy left by Henry Hudson, Samuel de Champlain and Robert Fulton of using the waters of the Hudson to transport people and deliver goods.
