| Designated as a Community Development Project under New York State's Empire Zone Program, the Waterfront Museum can provide contributors with a New York State income tax credit equal to 25% of a contribution in excess of $1,000.00. Under this program, donations are eligible for a federal and a state income tax credit in the amount of 25% of the contribution. |
| These credits are a result of the good work of the Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation SWBIDC; a not-for-profit business development group whose mission is to foster business growth and expansion in southwest Brooklyn.
