The Waterfront Museum regrets that the SUNSET MUSIC SERIES will not return to the Waterfront Museum this season. After thirteen years of providing culture and joy to residents and employees of Red Hook and visitors to our community on July evenings, due to concerns regarding liability, noise, and the consumption of alcohol on site have prompted us to discontinue this popular and well-loved concert series. Great thanks and appreciation go to George Tocci, Sunset Music Series founder and artistic director for his quality entertainment and many years of generous love and labor.

We hope to bring the Sunset Music Series to other ports of call where we will continue to entertain thousands with joyful music aboard our venerable vessel, capturing the history of barge use as a gathering venue for music and merriment. Over the years, a variety of performers have graced the Barge deck including Rockabilly Legend Sleepy LaBeef, Former Saturday Night Live Band Leader, G.E. Smith and "Hot Rod Lincoln" Bill Kirchen and many more!

For bios on artists from previous seasons, [ Click Here ] or visit Moonlight Productions to browse our producers website. Sample some Ellsworth and Hicks Music and imagine you are rockin' with us aboard the barge!

The Sunset Music Series

Conceived by Brooklynite singer songwriter George Tocci, the SUNSET MUSIC SERIES provides a local venue for musicians who write and perform their own work. The Waterfront Museum engaged audiences with the performances aboard the Barge itself or along the new garden pier, all amid summer breezes, the stunning backdrop of New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
